Self-determination peer advocate
Terriana Evans is 20years old and from Oakland. As a Community Organizer, Terriana builds power and voice in neighborhoods with the highest rate of arrest, detention and incarceration of girls in Oakland. She has been at YWFC since January 2019.
The work that YWFC does is important to her because she knows first hand that the work is life changing and offers opportunity. She believes in this work because it changed her life and helps her take all of her pain, trauma and experiences and learn how to turn them into power.
