Ifasina is a southern born and raised Bay Area transplant. They came to organizing work as a 24-year old in the deep south around issues impacting LGBTQIA Black folks. After spending some time studying sociology, gaining spiritual and wellness development skills both personally and as a wellness practitioner, they began integrating those skills and experience with their organizing and advocacy work.
Ifasina has been with YWFC since 2016 working mostly in the areas of healing, spirituality, and leadership development. Ifasina now serves as Director of Culture and Healing with an emphasis on replicating and undergirding the YWFC model and ensuring the programmatic trajectory around wellness and sustainable practices for liberatory and movement work.
