Storm was born and raised in San Francisco and has lived in every region in California. She’s been a staff member with the Center since late 2018, but feels like she has grown up here her whole life as the daughter of a founding member. As an older sibling, Storm has a gift to relate and listen to her younger sisters and brothers and believes that all young people have a voice and should be heard. She never realized this would be her superpower as a self-determination advocate at YWFC. In this role, she listens to young people and helps them create and reach their goals.
Storm had a parent who was incarcerated and didn’t get to see or touch her mother. She believes in this work because to know how to advocate for oneself against systems that aren’t set up to support you is powerful.
