Luna is a community space-holder, advocate, writer and healer based in the San Francisco Bay Area. Raised in a working class European immigrant family in Chicago and forever transformed by the chosen family she created as a teenager, she has fought for personal and collective transformation for more than 15 years via a variety of political projects which center prison abolition, trans liberation, HIV prevention, community empowerment, collective healing, and the struggle against white supremacy. In recent years, Luna has served as program leadership for a number of projects that center systems-impacted transgender communities in the Bay Area and been a consultant for a number of city departments and organizations looking to better serve trans communities. She has been with YWFC since August 2019.
