Laura grew up in a wonderfully diverse and progressive home in Oakland. Drawn by the bright lights of Hollywood, she moved to Los Angeles after college to work in TV/Film production. After years of the entertainment industry slowly taking her soul, she made the decision to pursue a more fulfilling career in non-profit. She worked as an administrator in non-profit education before moving back to Oakland in early 2019.
Not long after returning home, she joined the YWFC. She is part of a small administrative team that keeps the sites up and running so our siblings can continue to do the amazing work out in the community. As a woman who has always struggled with identity and finding her own voice, these folks and this work gives her strength and inspire her everyday. She is so grateful to have found her soul again with YWFC.
