Development Director

Pronouns: She/Her

Luna is a community space-holder, advocate, writer, and healer based in the San Francisco Bay Area. Raised in a working-class European immigrant family in Chicago and forever transformed by the chosen family she created as a teenager, she has fought for personal and collective transformation for more than 15 years via a variety of political projects which center prison abolition, trans liberation, HIV prevention, community empowerment, collective healing, and the struggle against white supremacy.

Luna has led a number of projects that center systems-impacted transgender communities in the Bay Area and has been a consultant for a number of city departments and organizations looking to better serve trans communities. She has been with YWFC since August 2019, where she has shifted her focus to resourcing organizing in alignment with her values as YWFC’s Development Director.
